It looks like another SNES classic will be coming to Wii U this week.
Earlier today, Nintendo quietly updated its official web site with a listing for Pilotwings for the Wii U Virtual Console. According to the listing, the game will hit the service this Thursday, June 27, and will retail for $7.99.
This isn’t the first time Pilotwings is receiving a digital re-release; the game was released on the Wii Virtual Console back in December 2009. Fans who’ve already purchased the title through the Wii Shop and have transferred their system data over to Wii U can update the game (thereby unlocking new features like off-TV play on the Wii U GamePad) for an additional $1.50.
Will you be downloading Pilotwings when it lands on the Wii U eShop? Let us know in the comments!

Very happy to see Pilotwings heading to the Wii U VC, but the pace of releases is atrocious. I was thrilled to see Mega Man get a big game dump during E3, but why not just make 1-6 available in one shot, instead?
