Big releases are inbound for the Wii U eShop this week, as Batman: Arkham Origins, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, and Sonic: Lost World all head for the virtual marketplace. Batman: Arkham Origins is released on October 25, while Assassin’s Creed and Sonic: Lost World won’t be available until October 29.
The big hitters aren’t the only additions though. Also on Wii U are Pinball and Baseball for the Virtual Console, plus Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures and Monster High 13 Wishes as smaller releases on the eShop.
Over on the handheld front, Sonic: Lost World‘s portable counterpart is being made available on the 3DS the same day as its bigger brother, as is a shrunk-down version of the new Batman game entitled Arkham Origins: Blackgate. Perhaps the bigger news for Nintendo fans though is the release of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies.
Other 3DS releases include Monster High 13 Wishes, Jewel Master : Cradle of Egypt 2, and My Little Baby 3D.

Although interested in Blackgate for the 3DS, the lack of media coverage for what should be a pretty major release is worrying – usually suggests the game isn’t going to review well so the publisher embargoed all comments before release to avoid harming sales.
Outside of that, seems like quantity over quality week to me.
At least there is an awesome sale on Resident Evil: Revlations. Just $10 for 3DS or $20 if you prefer to download the HD release on Wii U. It’s one of the best 3DS games released to date (despite a few rough spots) and Halloween is the perfect time to jump on board if you haven’t already set foot on the Queen Zenobia cruise liner.
