Some fairly big releases hit all the digital distribution platforms this week as we move out of the review slump we’ve been experiencing for some time. First up on 3DS as a full retail release is Kirby: Triple Deluxe (released May 2, at least for American– Europe doesn’t receive it for another two weeks), a game in which Kirby’s inhalation abilities are taken to their logical extreme as the pink blob takes to devouring the landscape.
Then there’s Mario Golf: World Tour, the latest of Mario’s many sports outings, which includes competitive online multiplayer and a wide range of courses and releases on May 2. Fore!
After that on 3DS eShop, Picross e4 is the main release, providing big 20×15 puzzles for fans to get stuck into.
The main story on 3DS Virtual Console is Mega Man Xtreme, a Game Boy Color spin-off from Mega Man X and part of Mega May. Every Thursday this month, a different classic Mega Man will be released onto Virtual Console.
Splinter Cell Blacklist is half price at $30, as is the intriguingly-titled Bird Mania Christmas 3D, reduced to a dollar.
NES’s Mach Rider rounds off the list, appearing on the Wii U Virtual Console for $4.99.

I had my fingers crossed all April that we would be hearing something about a second batch of GBA games, or maybe even DS titles for Wii U.
At this point we’ll probably have to wait until E3 for any new announcements though.
