After a very satisfying launch in Japan, it looks as though Level-5 is looking to bring its latest game Fantasy Life overseas, at least if the European trademark filing is correct.
It has been reported that on March 12, Level-5 had filed for a trademark of the name Fantasy Life. While there hasn’t been any trademark filing known of over in North America, it is still very possible that the same has been done already.
Fantasy Life, which looks like a combination of Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing, was developed by Level-5 in conjunction with Nintendo subsidiary 1-Up Studios (formerly known as Brownie Brown). The game has sold very well in Japan, and while the trademarking may not spell out a definite release over in Europe and North America, it is viewed at least as a very positive sign towards an overseas release.
