5) Jill Valentine

First Appearance: Resident Evil (PlayStation, 1996 | GameCube, 2002)

There are only a couple other ladies on this list with guts like Jill Valentine. Trapped in a mansion on the outskirts of Raccoon City with fellow S.T.A.R.S. members Chris Redfield and Albert Wesker, Jill is separated from the two and forced to comb through the eerie home all alone. Which wouldn’t be so bad… if the mansion wasn’t loaded with zombies and monsters! Resident Evil would be the first test of Jill, but her long and storied career has taken her from S.T.A.R.S. to being a premier member of the BSAA, fighting bio-terrorism across the world. Her latest turn as the primary lead of Resident Evil: Revelations on 3DS and Wii U has further cemented her as a force to be reckoned with, and a strong female hero who refuses to be pigeonholed by stereotypes.
