Yeah…. Can’t complain about free games but I’d prefer a physical item to choose from. Japan gets all kinds of cool stuff from club Nintendo.

They probably did this to stop people complaining about the fact that rewards didn’t make it out until December.

It’s really annoying, though, because the rewards we’ve been getting were really nice. They could have at least done a Luigi hat like they did the Mario hat since the majority of those coins were earned during the Year of Luigi.

    I AM DISAPPOINT!

Same problem here as with the Mario Kart 8 promotion: I already have all the ones I want. Oh well. I bet I’ll at least play Game & Wario more than Wii Party U.

I don’t feel right complaining about “free” rewards. However I do feel justified in feeling disappointment.

The cool thing about the rewards in the past was that you were getting something EXCLUSIVELY from Club Nintendo that you couldn’t buy anywhere else (besides ebay a month later :) This year, we are getting something I could just buy anyway (Like Penduin, I own most of these games already and I don’t own the others because I was never interested in buying them.)

Nintendo is definitely saving a lot of money by going this route (not paying for materials, production, shipping, etc.)

My only hope is that the “digital only” route isn’t permanent. I’m getting a little worried as Club Nintendo’s items catalog is getting mighty slim (some straps, patches, etc.) I hope they re-stock with some great items such as posters, soundtracks(!), and figures (like the awesome Luigi’s Mansion one.)

On the bright side, I don’t feel lame for not getting platinum. I’ve actually never played Zelda II, so this is a good excuse to do so.

Not happy. If they were games that were unique to gold/platinum awards, I wouldn’t like it but I would be ok with it. But just a pile of games I can just go buy anytime I darn well please? And they’re all digital only (I always, ALWAYS go for the physical copy. The only exceptions ever so far are the 3DS Animal Crossing, and Link Between Worlds (and even then only because it came with the system.))? Sigh.

I’ll be picking one of Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, EarthBound, or NES Remix. Don’t know which. Probably Earthbound, but we’ll see.
