Many fans of the Mega Man series were massively disappointed when Keiji Inafune left Capcom in 2010, especially since his departure meant that the hotly anticipated Mega Man Legends 3 would likely never see a release. Many accepted that they would never get to see what the third Legends game would be like, but lucky for the rest of us, Mega Man fans are persistent; at a recent convention hosted by ScrewAttack, a fan asked if Infaune would consider funding a Mega Man Legends-style Mighty No. 9 game through Kickstarter. Through a translator, Inafune said he would think about it, thanks to the the audience’s extremely positive reaction.
I was one of those dejected fans that had accepted the fate of Mega Man Legends 3, but I bet Inafune could make an equally amazing Legends game without Mega Man in the title, so I hope he takes this idea seriously.
