As all things must, the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service will be coming to an end later this month, and with it, the ability to play a number of Wii and DS games with other players around the world. Nintendo’s first online service was by no means perfect; many of its titles were marred by lag, which could render them nearly unplayable (as those who attempted to play Super Smash Bros. Brawl online know all too well), and the need to exchange friend codes with other players made setting up a gaming session all the more cumbersome. But even with these faults, the inclusion of online multiplayer had a profound impact on many of the company’s biggest franchises, expanding the social aspects of series like Animal Crossing and giving rise to some of the most innovative features to appear in Pokémon.
With the discontinuation of Nintendo WFC drawing closer, we’d like to know which DS or Wii game you spent the most time playing over the service. Cast your vote in our poll below, and if we happened to neglect your favorite title (which is certainly likely given the sheer amount of games that supported the service), then be sure to tell us in the comments!

I would have liked to say Brawl, but the online was just so unplayable for four player matches! Definitely Mario Kart Wii for me.
Does Monster Hunter Tri (Wii) count as Nintendo WFC, even when the servers were all run by Capcom? I probably spent more time playing that game than any other over the past 10 years, and absolutely loved it.
Honestly, outside of that game I can’t think of anything that I played online for a meaningful amount of time.
I really enjoyed playing Battalion Wars and Endless Ocean: Blue World online.
