New details regarding a free-to-play Pokémon title have emerged from the latest publication of CoroCoro Comics, a Japanese magazine that regularly promotes toys and video games, including the Pokémon franchise.
The game, dubbed The Band of Thieves & 1000 Pokémon, will be available on the Japanese eShop starting on June 5 and will focus on collecting Pokémon through StreetPass to use in battles against a pair of thieves. Acting as a tie in of sorts to the upcoming Pokémon the Movie: Diancie & The Cocoon of Destruction, the game will feature two thief characters based upon the films antagonists Riot and Marilyn.
There has been no word as of yet on whether the title will make its way to western audiences, though the massive appeal of the Pokémon franchise makes it a definite possibility.
