If you’ve had difficulty finding other 3DS owners with whom to StreetPass, Nintendo has announced a new program that should make getting StreetPass tags a little easier for everyone in North America.
Beginning in a “few weeks,” Nintendo Zone locations across the continent will also allow fans to StreetPass with one another, even if they aren’t in the location at the same time. 3DS owners who connect to a Nintendo Zone hot spot will be able to receive a StreetPass tag from the last player to visit that location, and in turn, will be able to leave their data behind for the next person.
There are currently over 29,000 Nintendo Zone locations around North America, including places such as Best Buy stores, Simon Malls, and other AT&T Hot Spots. For a full list of Nintendo Zone locations, visit the Nintendo 3DS web site.
