Did you want any more evidence of third party support? Well, look no further than the recent press release from Nintendo, which has announced that Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist will be coming to Wii U (and other home consoles) in August.
When it comes to the Wii U version of Blacklist, there’ll likely be touchscreen and motion-based inputs. Otherwise, the jury is still out about how different it will be in comparison to the other versions of the game.
You can expect Splinter Cell Blacklist to be available come August 20 in North America, August 22nd in PAL territories, and August 23 in Europe.

This is great! But sadly, for every game confirmed for Wii U, there is one denied. However, I am glad Ubisoft seems to be committed to its support of the system. Still, Nintendo has gotta get the first and third party games and exclusives rolling by the end of the year!
Yeah, it seems a bit enthusiastic to imply this contradicts the Wii U’s third-party problems. Even though Ubisoft’s releasing this and Watch Dogs, will their next-gen-only games come out on it?
I’m not really that personally invested in third-party support — I’ll almost definitely end up owning a PS4 as well, and I buy Nintendo systems for first-party games above all else — but it’s clearly an issue for them competitively.
