We may only be a week removed from the last Nintendo Direct broadcast, but we won’t have to wait too long until the next one; earlier today, the Big N announced that it would be holding its next Nintendo Direct presentation on June 11, the day that this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo is scheduled to begin.
Last month, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced that the company would be holding a series of smaller events in lieu of a traditional press conference at this year’s E3, so this upcoming Nintendo Direct will be the venue through which Nintendo makes its biggest game announcements, which will include a glimpse at a new 3D Mario game, the next Mario Kart, the HD remake of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and a look at the next installment of Smash Bros., among many others. The broadcast is scheduled to begin at 7 AM Pacific, and can be streamed at the company’s web site.
In addition to that, Serebii.net reports that Nintendo will also be holding a special Pokémon X and Y round table on the very same day, beginning at 6 PM Pacific. The round table is scheduled to last for 90 minutes and will be presided by series director Junichi Masuda and Tsunekaz Ishihara, president of The Pokémon Company. It is not currently known if this round table will also be streamed online.
