Yet another licensed project courtesy of Mighty No. 9 is on the way. Developer Comcept has announced it’s working with Legendary Pictures to create a live-action film project based on the new IP. Creator Keiji Inafune commented on the collaboration, stating, “This collaboration will give our creation the ability to reach people all over the world. Thanks to all of your support, we have fulfilled another one of our dreams.”
When considering Mighty No. 9’s state as a spiritual successor to a certain blue robot, it’s a wonder Capcom has allowed this game to flourish the way it has (as well as Comcept’s other project, Red Ash, which is clearly inspired by Mega Man Legends). Regardless, if you’re excited for Mighty No. 9’s potential success via licensing, let us know in the comments!
