If you were one of the lucky few to snag any of the Fire Emblem Amiibo, you’ll be able to use them in the upcoming Fire Emblem Fates for 3DS.
Tapping any of the compatible figurines– Marth, Ike, Lucina, or Robin– while in Fates’ My Castle mode will make the corresponding character appear in the game and challenge you to a battle. That alone sounds like a fun feature for those who were able to purchase the figures, but what’s really neat is that the characters also make humorous references to their appearances in Super Smash Bros.— Ike, for instance, talks about honing his skills against warriors from all over the world, and even does his signature Smash Bros. taunt when the battle begins. Once defeated, the characters will ask to join your party.
