If you’ve been putting off filling out your setlist for any of Activision’s various Guitar Hero titles, you’d better act fast; all DLC will be removed for sale as of April 1. Online server support will remain, and don’t fret (heh) over previously purchased music, as it will remain playable indefinitely. Procrastination can have its benefits, though, as select songs will be discounted between now and March 31. Total bummer, man, but consider it incentive to get back out there and melt some faces one last time. Assuming you’ve still got a working axe, of course.
Any fond Guitar Hero memories? Want to vent about Activision running the franchise into the ground? Rock out in the comments!

I never really got the appeal of plastic guitars… but admit to loving drums and vocals in these music games. DJ Hero was also fantastic – although mostly because of the fun and unique mixes created for that game.
Sad to see this content go offline. Even sadder that, due to being tied to Nintendo hardware, I don’t really trust DLC because any hardware issue (which will happen eventually, no matter how well I take care of my systems) would cause that content to be permanently lost.
