The latest issue of Famitsu, Japan’s premiere gaming publication, has revealed a few more details for the upcoming Zelda/Dynasty Warriors fusion, Hyrule Warriors. Scans of the magazine show Fi (Skyward Sword’s answer to Navi and Midna) will be a playable character. It should be interesting to see how Fi will fight seeing how she is, effectively, a weapon herself. The article also mentions that two other Skyward Sword alums will be making an appearance, the villainous Girahim and Imprisoned. However, it is unclear if these two will be playable.
The final piece of info that can be gleaned from these scans is a new weapon for Link, a large ball and chain that I find highly reminiscent of the equipable item found in Twilight Princess.
Look forward to more Hyrule Warriors details as we approach its September 26 release date. My fingers are still crossed for Tingle to be playable and ridiculously overpowered.
