While there is plenty of Mario-themed apparel you can find for just about every part of your body, it is harder to come across high quality, licensed footwear to complete the ensemble. Thankfully, Converse has you covered with two new pairs of shoes aimed directly at the hardcore, Mario-loving market.
The shoes will honor Mario and his life-long nemesis/sporting rival Bowser. Both shoes will feature 8-bit renderings of their respective characters, while the Mario shoes will come in red with a gold super-star plastered on the side and the Bowser shoes will be green with a white star. These pairs will be on the pricey side, coming in at 20,000 yen, or about $200.00, and have only been verified for Japan at this point.
Now, all we need are some Mario-themed sock garters.
