It seems safe to assume that the world is in agreement, and the Wii U Virtual Console service is pretty much the greatest thing since sliced bread. Now, if I asked you to name a single Game Boy Advance title that you’d love to get re-released via the digital store, what would you say? It’s Kuru Kuru Kururin, isn’t it? I know it is, and the good news today is that, yes, Nintendo is finally bringing this early GBA title to the Wii U Virtual Console.
Well, Japan’s Virtual Console, that is. Don’t hold your breath for a North American release, seeing as this top-down maze game was never released stateside the first time around. To all three of you Americans who had heard of this game prior to ten seconds ago, my sincere condolences.
But don’t fear, because Super Mario Advance will be released alongside Kuru Kuru Kururin in Japan on July 16, and I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if that one (which was, originally, a portable remake of Super Mario Bros. 2, creating a sort of Inception of remakes, if you will) does release in North America at some point. Anyway, fans of these two GBA titles should keep a look out.
