Remember when Platinum Games’ Bayonetta 2 was announced as a Wii U exclusive and everyone that didn’t own the system was really pissed off? They even tried to start a campaign (unsuccessfully) to make it a multi-platform title. That whole situation seems to have been flip-turned upside down, and now fans want to bring the original title, Bayonetta over to Wii U!
This new effort was actually spearheaded by Mr. Platinum himself, Hideki Kamiya, who is ever vocal on his Twitter as always. Kamiya said on Twitter “For the ppl who haven’t played Bayo1 yet but want to play Bayo2, I think it’s good idea to release Bayo1 before Bayo2. I hope that’ll happen.” He also explained that if greenlit by Nintendo, a port of Bayonetta for Wii U would be totally doable, and might even release around the same time as Bayonetta 2.
This caused the formation of a group called “Operation Dead Angels” on NeoGAF, with an accompanying Facebook page. Operation Dead Angels seeks to get the word out to Nintendo that a port of Bayonetta is worth pursuing. Fans are taking to Facebook, Twitter, and Miiverse to let their desires be known.
If this sounds familiar, it’s because it’s an awful lot like Operation Rainfall, albeit on a much smaller scale right now. Still, the three RainFall games ended up coming out in America, so anything can happen, right? There’s relatively little effort in porting a 4-year-old game, and the movement already has the support of Platinum Games. It’s really a no-brainer, considering Bayonetta 2 is around the corner. Plus, it’s a little awkward when a sequel is on your platform, but the original is not (*cough* Mass Effect 3).
Would you like to see Bayonetta come to Wii U? Thinking of enlisting with Operation Dead Angels? Let us know! And by the way, don’t send Kamiya anymore grief about the Wii U exclusive game. He doesn’t like that.

i hope they can achieve this, because i dont feel to good just owning bayo 2 without having the first.
It’ll be even easier for people to want to buy it if they BOTH were sold as one package deal, or, at least, sell the first game for a heavily discounted price, since it’s not hard to find a cheap copy of the game on another system for under $20 US.
Agreed. Maybe they could even do something like EA did with Alice: Madness Returns and include a free download of the original. (Did I just admit that EA did something right in recent memory? ;^) Or like Ubisoft did with Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. Ok, there we go.
