David Wise Returns for Tropical Freeze

More excellent and original soundtrack for the upcoming Donkey Kong Country game!

David Wise composed the soundtrack for the original Donkey Kong Country games on the SNES. Wise was unavailable to work on Donkey Kong Country Returns, but Retro Studios now have Wise back for Tropical Freeze. Although there will be familiarities, the music for Tropical Freeze will include new compositions.

Tropical Freeze is definitely looking up. The continuous flow of quality releases from Nintendo in the coming year is very promising. Let’s hope that Nintendo can innovate within its beloved IPs. What could make the following year better? Another DK rap by Grant Kirkhope of course.

  I hope they reprise some of the music from DKC2, that soundtrack is easily on par with the first game. Bramble Blast, anyone?
