9) Jinkuro

Izuna Jinkuro from Muramasa: The Demon Blade was a master swordsman until he faced a fatal illness. Refusing to accept his fate, Jinkuro decided to transfer his soul into the body of another warrior named Yagyu, but instead accidentally took the princess Momohime’s body. While Momohime is considered to be one of the game’s protagonists, Jinkuro is technically the one controlling her body and the one under the player’s control. As a person, Jinkuro is quite a nasty little cookie. Calculated and ruthless, Jinkuro believes only in power and will do anything to achieve his goal. While he changes his attitude toward the end of the game, this evil spirit is still like a very unpleasant disease you don’t want to bring home.
