California gamers and others attending Anaheim’s WonderCon this weekend (April 18-20) will be able to play a selection of new and upcoming Nintendo games at its area of the convention. Among titles such as Mario Golf: World Tour and Yoshi’s New Island, Mario Kart 8 will be playable for the general public. Since the recent unveiling of many new power-ups, racers, and tracks in the latest installment in the venerable racing franchise, fans will likely be interested in seeing how the game plays.
Mario Kart 8 is slated for release on May 30 this year and features include anti-gravity and underwater racing, as well as an array of new power-ups including Piranha Plants and the Boomerang Flower. The game will also feature customisable karts, following in the footsteps of its 3DS predecessor Mario Kart 7.
