10. Drifloon
In the real world, some fans are taken aback by the creepier backstories of Pokémon. Since the character designs tend to be on the cuter side, it can be a bit jarring to find out just how eerie some of these characters can be. Apparently, this also rings true for the Pokémon world, as well. Drifloon, often mistaken for a balloon by children, has a tendency to drag them away to the afterlife. It’s also said that, upon popping, a Drifloon’s soul spills out with an eerie screaming sound. And you thought the balloons from the movie It were scary!
