Nintendo has been app happy for a while now, with everything from Nintendo Music to the Nintendo Today! app hitting smart devices within the past few years. The Nintendo Store app is a way to buy Nintendo games, merchandise, consoles, and more via your mobile device, as well as get information about your play history. It’s a nice tool to have, certainly, but up until this latest update, it was lacking terms of quality of life features.

Thankfully, some larger sticking points have been addressed, making the Nintendo Store app a much more user-friendly experience. Here are the patch notes for version 3.1.0:

Nintendo Store Ver. 3.1.0 (9th Feb 2026)

  • Product search results can now be displayed in-app on the “Search” tab.
  • Performance for the “Search” and “Wish List” tabs has been improved.
  • You can now enlarge the product images displayed on the details page for a product.
  • Various issues are now resolved.

No more having to jump between the Nintendo Store app and your browser, dear readers. This might all seem like pretty basic functionality to the rest of the world, but hey—that’s just vintage Nintendo, now, isn’t it?
