The Everyone is Here Update Brings Six Indie Heroes to Dead Cells

Dead Cells sometimes feels like it’s as much a living organism as it is a game. Rarely has so much post-launch TLC ever been provided to a single title. The designers at Motion Twin have been bringing countless updates to Dead Cells since its launch with no signs of slowing down. The latest, Everyone is Here (a nice little Smash Bros. nod), sees six heroes from six different indie games make their way into the game. Here’s a trailer to get an idea of what everyone will look like in action:

There are six series that have been pulled from, each providing a single skin and item. Here are the official patch notes about all of them:

1. Blasphemous
   1. New Weapon: Face Flask—They say this was supposed to heal you, but it doesn’t seem to work that well… Eh, who cares, it looks cool as heck.
   2. New Outfit: Penitent’s Outfit
2. Curse of the Dead Gods
   1. New Weapon: Machete and Pistol: Slash, slash, bang. But like, big strong bang. Basically.
   2. New Outfit: Explorer’s Outfit
3. Guacamelee
   1. New Weapon: Pollo Power—Unleash your inner chicken and bring wrath to your enemies, as you lay egg-bombs all over the island.
   2. New Outfit: Luchador’s Outfit
4. Hollow Knight
   1. New weapon: Pure Nail—Looks like Blobespierre has finally learnt that he’s not obliged to stop running everytime he wants to take a swing.
   2. New outfit: Vessel’s Oufit
5. Hyper Light Drifter
   1. New weapon: Hard Light Sword / Hard Light Gun—Shoot with one to mark your enemy, hit with the other to get your ammo back.
   2. New outfit: The Magician’s Outfit
6. Skul
   1. New weapon: Bone—One swing, two swings, one uncontrollable whirlwind… You know the deal.
   2. New outfit: Little Bone’s Outfit

How do I unlock all this beautiful content?

As you explore Prisoners’ Quarters, you might notice some new unusual rooms that don’t seem to belong here. Perhaps they shifted from another dimension? Legends say that finding and exploring those rooms will bring you glory and strength!.. as well as new tools to add to your arsenal. We also heard that a strange, mysterious, might-be-full-of-hints book has appeared somewhere in Prisoners’ Quarters. However, its sayings look quite cryptic and incomprehensible…
