You’ll need to be an Expansion Pack tier subscriber!
Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers just got some new games to play. For the October 2026 update, Nintendo has added the following three Game Boy Advance games to the service:
- Metal Slug Advance
- Monster Rancher Advance
- Kururin Paradise
You can see all three in glorious motion in the trailer below:
Metal Slug Advance is your typical entry in the series, with a couple of game-specific changes. First, players have a health bar this time around, and second, there are 100 cards to collect in-game that will do things like grant buffs and even new Slugs to use. Monster Rancher Advance is all about creating and raising your own monsters (no discs to insert in the GBA version, sadly). Finally, Kururin Paradise is a Japan-only GBA title (it was actually slated to come to North America back in the day, but we digress) that features a chopper (that looks just like a spinning bar from above) that must be navigated through a series of mazes.
As ever, if you’d like to play these games, you must have an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription.
