It had been a rumor recently, especially following a leak on PlayStation Network showing the character off, but it has been confirmed as reality that the illustrious Leon S. Kennedy is back as the other playable protagonist in Resident Evil Requiem. The reveal was made official during The Game Awards ceremony last night. You can see Leon in all his glory in this new trailer:
Leon is being billed as the action-focused character in the game, bringing his signature gunplay to bear as he and Grace fight to survive. Capcom has also shown off a couple of other tidbits relating to the game—first up is a collaboration with Porsche:

Resident Evil and Porsche, the world-renowned vehicle manufacturer that has captivated car enthusiasts worldwide for decades, are teaming up for the ride of a lifetime. Together, the two iconic brands will debut a unique Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT in-game as Leon’s trusted ride, providing a legendary ride for a legendary character.
There’s also yet another incentive to get the Deluxe Edition of Requiem, as you’ll be able to get your hands on three additional skins for Leon—including his Resident Evil 4 look:
