Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is arguably the biggest launch for Nintendo Switch 2 (and Nintendo Switch) this Christmas, thanks in no small part to the years of anticipation that have been building up for the game. Announced back in 2017, the game has had a turbulent development cycle; so much so that Nintendo switched developers and started over from scratch. That was all the way back in 2019, however, which is now already five years in the rearview mirror at this point. In short, it’s been about eight years and fans are chomping at the bit to finally play the thing.

To help tide you over a wee bit, Nintendo has released a new trailer for Metroid Prime 4, which you can see right here:

Don’t forget that two of the game’s amiibo will launch this week on 11.06.25. The Samus and Samus & Vi-O-La amiibo will both be available on that day, with enemy Sylux to follow. Are you feeling excited for Metroid Prime 4? Share with us below and on social media!
