Eclipse Games has announced that it will be bringing its stylish dual-stick shooter Tachyon Project to the Wii U eShop later this year.
Inspired by classic top-down shooters like Xenon 2, Tachyon Project places players in the role of Ada, a sentient computer program that was created to “hack into the most secure places on Earth.” Unfortunately, an unexpected turn of events leaves Ada alone in the wilds of cyberspace, and she’ll have to break into some of the most well-guarded computers on the planet to discover what had happened to her creators.

According to Eclipse, Tachyon Project will boast a number of different features, including over 30 different enemy types to face, six main and nine sub-weapons with which to customize your ship, a 10-level campaign with hand-drawn cutscenes, and a local multiplayer mode for up to four players.
Eclipse Games says Tachyon Project will be released in June or July for Xbox One, and later this year for Wii U, PC, and likely PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.
