On March 25, the man with the readiest body on the planet, Reggie Fils-Aime, celebrated his 54th birthday. Over the years, Reggie has become probably one of the most charismatic and memorable people representing Nintendo. Following Nintendo’s May 2004 E3 press conference, Reggie slowly won over the hearts of the masses with his highly quotable phrases. After becoming the president of Nintendo of America in 2006, Reggie’s popularity among gamers kept on rising, spouting infinite amounts of memes.
I love “my body is ready” jokes as much as everyone else, but I also have to remind everyone that Reggie Fils-Aime does a really good job as one of the key members of Nintendo. To me, Reggie represents a whole new period for Nintendo when the dialog between the company and its fans has been finally established.

I share a birthday with this man and never knew. I don’t know if I an consider myself a true Nintendo fan now.

I think it’s great that Nintendo has personalities like Reggie. Watching them run away from a 3D Bowser does make you sometimes forget how smart and talented they actually are though!
Anyway, here’s to many more years of kickin’ ass and takin’ names!
