Rainy Night Creations has confirmed on Twitter that its upcoming platformer, FreezeME, which is currently on Steam Greenlight, will be coming to Wii U.
The game sees you play as R, a girl who possesses a camera that freezes any object which it takes a picture of. R will have to travel across worlds in order to restore an ancient key and save her friend who has been kidnapped by Fat the Cat. Along the way, she’ll gain new abilities that allow her to reach new areas and tackle new enemies.
It is deliberately made in the style of the traditional 3D platformers from the Nintendo 64 era, and everything from the cheery up-beat music to the collectable obtained toward the end of the announcement trailer is highly reminiscent of Super Mario 64— a comparison which can only be good for the game.
FreezeME is currently set for release in summer 2015 and will also be available on PC, Mac, and Linux.
