While Starlink: Battle for Atlas wasn’t quite the financial success Ubisoft was hoping for, fans of the game still have plenty to look forward to, thanks to a pair of upcoming updates. The news was announced during a Nintendo Direct back in February, but we now have a release date for the upcoming expansion: April 30!
The Switch version of Starlink featured Fox McCloud in a co-starring role, and the upcoming DLC will add more content featuring additional characters from the franchise. The Star Fox update adds Peppy, Slippy and Falco to the playable roster, while Wolf O’Donnell’s teammates Pigma Dengar, Andrew Oikonny and Leon Powalski play the role of antagonists in the new missions.
Naturally, the Star Fox update is exclusive to Switch, but there is a second update coming that same day, and the Crimson Moon update is available on all consoles. The new Crimson Moon location plays host to the Outlaw Games, which include single and two-player racing tracks and a coliseum in which players battle through waves of enemies. Players can keep track of their ranking in both on leaderboards. Finally, five new playable characters, three new ships and 11 additional weapons will also release the same day, as paid content.
The Star Fox update will set Switch owners back $11.99. The Crimson Moon update is free for all Starlink: Battle for Atlas owners.
