Last week, The Pokémon Company released a pixelated image of a brand-new Pokémon. Today, a wild Rotom was blamed for the technical issue and the curtain has officially been pulled back on the latest creature from the Galar region!
An exclusive in Pokémon Sword, Sirfetch’d is the evolved form of Farfetch’d. A Fighting-type Pokémon, Sirfetch’d definitely seems to fit the theme of the new generation, particularly with his leek lance and leaf shield. Sirfetch’d will have the ability Steadfast, which increases the Pokémon’s speed after flinching. Sirfetch’d also knows the exclusive move Meteor Assault, in which the Pokémon charges opponents with its leek. The move is rather taxing, however, forcing Sirfetch’d to rest after using it.
According to The Pokémon Company, Farfetch’d evolves into Sirfetch’d after engaging in a certain number of battles. Will Sirfetch’d impact which version of Pokémon Sword and Shield you’re getting? Let us know in the comments below!
