Tie-in products for video games are almost as old as the medium itself. From Pac-Man stuffed animals to Super Mario Bros. bubble bath, fans are used to some interesting mashups of pixels and real-world goods. Well, prepare yourself for something a bit different: perfumes based on Capcom’s Resident Evil series:
The lineup of perfumes are all modeled around fan-favorite characters Chris Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy, and Jill Valentine. Here’s how Capcom describes their individual scents:
- Chris Redfield: A fougère with hints of cloves and black pepper.
- Leon S. Kennedy: A citrus blend intended to evoke a refreshing, cool sensation.
- Jill Valentine: A sweet, fruity smell.
As of this writing, the fragrances are set for release in Japan but haven’t been confirmed for elsewhere. That of course won’t stop the most devout of Resident Evil fans from ordering a set via importers. The three bottles will retail for around $60 and are available now via Capcom’s Japanese website.
