The video game industry is morning the passing of veteran Rare artist Brett Jones. Designer David Doak and others took to social media to share the sad news. Here’s Doak’s post on X:

Jones was a versatile talent, helping produce Nintendo 64 classics like GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark. He contributed concept art, model rigging, animation, and more. After leaving Rare, Jones did VFX work for popular movie franchises like the Fast & Furious and Guardians of the Galaxy. We here at Nintendojo extend our condolences to Jones’ friends and family.
