Sega announced that Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 will be coming to the West in 2015 under the title of Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai Remix. The enhanced version of the 3DS rhythm game will feature two different game modes (buttons and touch screen), with three difficulty settings per song.
Here’s what Sega has to say about the upcoming game:
Players will enjoy a highly customizable experience with user customization options for button icons and sounds, character costumes and gear for the character rooms. Players can create and share personalized player cards that show off who you are as well as create customized dance routines to the songs, your own musical phrase and personalized comments about their favorite in-game videos, all via StreetPass. The game also utilizes the AR card and photo capabilities of the Nintendo 3DS to bring characters to life in 3D.
On top of that, Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 has a pretty interesting feature that let’s you make Vocaloids sing certain songs other than their own.

I know so little about this series that I can’t say one way or the other if it’s my thing, but my inner otaku screams in delight whenever hyper-Japanese titles come west, so for the time being I’ll let him have his fun.
