In one of his daily Super Smash Bros. updates on Miiverse earlier this week, Director Masahiro Sakurai revealed a new alternative costume for Little Mac.
“Looks like some of you noticed that this version of Little Mac wasn’t shown at E3. There are many things, like Link’s Skyward Sword tunic design I posted earlier, that haven’t been revealed yet.”
As seen in the image below, this alternative costume sees the NES boxer sporting a rather fetching pink sweatshirt outfit.
You’ll be able to try out this outfit yourself when Super Smash Bros. launches on 3DS in October, and on Wii U this holiday season.

They seem to be doing some really neat things with alternate costumes with this new Smash Bros. It gives me hope that we get a return of Doctor Mario in costume form, or maybe some different armors for Samus.
My personal hope is for Olimar in Bulborb pajamas. Make it happen, Sakurai!
