Nintendo Download: The Elf King Needs Your Help!
Believe it or not, NES classic Faxanadu has finally been released for the virtual console. This classic action RPG challenges players to travel throughout the different environments of the world tree in order to save the world from a great evil. It was an impressive release on the original console, though the incredibly long “Mantras” (see passwords) that had to be written down could get very annoying by the end of the game.
Also released this week, for Wiiware gamers can pick up Jewel Keepers: Easter Island or Cozy Fire. Looking for demos instead? Demos of Rage of the Gladiator and Learning with the PooYoos: Episode 1 have also been released. DSi owners can choose between G. G Series DRIFT CIRCUIT, Arctic Escape and Remote Racers this week. Full descriptions of each game can be found at the link below or by checking out the respective games on the Wii Shop Channel.

Though I have pre-ordered the 3DS, there are no games there which I will buy :) Well… MAYBE Samurai Warriors MAYBE. But it’s unlikely.
I’m with you on that. None of those games are must-haves… there are a couple nice-to-haves I’ll consider later. Whenever I get my 3DS… *ominous strings*
In fact, seeing that line up almost made me consider cancelling my pre-order & getting some of the other console releases at that time, then getting the 3DS when some games I want come out… it’s still a possibility.
mrrrrrrrrrrph street fighter
Hm, now don’t you mean rrrrriiiiiddddgggge raceerrrrr?
Quantity over quality, huh? Well, I at least want Bust-a-move, but at least we know how these launches go. It’ll be a month or two before the really good ones come out, but they’ll get here before too long. Still can’t wait!
hmmmm….. No one else pumped about FAXANADU? I clocked many hours playing that game on the NES. It’ll be nice not having to put in a 20 letter password to continue now, and I won’t get yelled at when I swear cause I wrote the password wrong
