Resident Evil: Revelations was one of the most popular installments released in the beleaguered zombie-slaying series in some time. It was so popular, it prompted an HD re-release across multiple home consoles following its initial 3DS outing. With the Resident Evil franchise growing more and more polarizing with each subsequent release, it only makes sense that Capcom would try to mine more out of Revelations’ popularity, which makes the potentially accidental reveal of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 on Xbox.com all the more fascinating.
A couple of scans of seeming box and promotional art (reading Biohazard: Revelation 2, the Japanese name for the Resident Evil series) were recently spotted and quickly removed, prompting many to believe that a reveal is forthcoming. Though no Nintendo console was confirmed for the potential sequel, the original Revelations was on 3DS and Wii U, so there’s hope that it will come to one or both of those consoles if/when Capcom finally pulls the curtain.
