Though the writing seemed to be on the wall when Wii U wasn’t mentioned during the reveal of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Activision finally made it official that the game would not be coming to Nintendo’s home console.
Announced via the Twitter account of developer Sledgehammer’s co-founder Michael Condrey, he stated that the game would not be coming to Wii U, and that it was a decision made by specifically by Activision itself. Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Ghosts were both released for Wii U, but it’s unclear what factors might have conspired to prompt Activision to forgo development of Advanced Warfare.

I had a great time playing Black Ops II on Wii U, and I had been interested in playing Ghosts but never had the time to fit it in my busy gaming schedule.
It’s disappointing that this news comes soon after the Ubisoft announcement. There’s no way around it, it’s not a good thing when third parties leave Nintendo out when they do their big multi-platform games. I have no idea what can be done though, or who is to blame. Personally, I’LL be ok, considering I have plenty of other games to play on my Wii U, but again, this is not a good thing for the Wii U in general.
