After regaining the rights to its atmospheric DS shooter, Moon, Renegade Kid (the studio behind Dementium: The Ward and Mutant Mudds) has announced that it will be releasing the game in the 3DS eShop this spring as an episodic remake.
Dubbed Moon Chronicles, the 3DS revamp boasts improved visuals and stereoscopic effects, and runs at a consistent 60 frames-per-second. Much like Telltale’s Walking Dead games, Moon Chronicles will be distributed as a series of downloadable episodes. The first will run for $8.99 and will include chapters one through four of the original game, as well as six VR Missions. Each additional episode will feature three more chapters for $1.99.
Following the release of the original chapters, Renegade Kid plans to launch a second “season” of episodes featuring entirely new content next year.

Is it an early Christmas or something?!
I love Renegade Kid games, but missed out on the first “Moon”. I will not be missing this one.
What a nice surprise! I always meant to grab Moon, but never did. Fancy 3D graphics, analog controls, a bargain-priced download, and a sequel as episodic DLC? Hells yes! Nicely done, Renegade Kid!
