Reggie Fils-Aimé has moved on from Nintendo as an executive but not as a fan. Reggie’s love of video games remains strong; he agreed in early March to become a member of the board of directors of GameStop in order to try and bring the hurting retail chain back to a state of stability. It should come as no surprise, then, that the Regginator is shaping his own island paradise in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
On Twitter, Reggie has shared his opinions about a couple of topics relating to the game. In regards to time travel, which is where Animal Crossing players adjust the system clock in order to proceed quickly from day to day in the game, Reggie’s thoughts were succinct:
Never!! https://t.co/fDxqZF5BEn

An honest gent, this one. This writer isn’t a fan of time travel, either. It sullies the experience! Animal Crossing is meant to be a slow, peaceful journey. Hey, who are we to judge? Moving on…
When the topic of wishing upon shooting stars was broached, Reggie offered the following opinion:
I didn’t do an official count but agree you should get more full stars than what happens. https://t.co/fHqAkla2ux

Indeed, for many a New Horizons player there are likely multiple odds and ends within the game that could use some quality of life tweaks. After all, it’s not as though shooting stars and shooting star showers are all that common in New Horizons, so why not make the most of the ones that do happen?
