Pokémon comics have been regularly produced since the days of Pokémon Red and Green, with a number of titles produced for both the main series games, and even some spin-offs. It should come as no surprise then that Pokémon Sun and Moon will also have a supporting comic series, set to debut this September in Japan.

The series will focus on a new protagonist and his Pokémon, Rockruff, as they journey throughout the Alola region. The comic will be printed in CoroCoro magazine, with story and artwork by Tenya Yabuno. Yabuno previously worked on manga based on the Inazuma Eleven and Digimon franchises.

As of this time, there is no announced localization for the manga. Unfortunately, since Pokémon games are now released simultaneously worldwide, it seems unlikely that a translation will appear until well after the games make their debut. Hopefully the series will appear in other regions sooner, rather than later! Stay tuned to Nintendojo for more information as it develops!
