Ah, GameCube. While the system played host to a plethora of fantastic games, for the most part, they’ve remained stranded on that particular console. One of the system’s more beloved titles is Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Fans have been clamoring for an HD version of that particular game for some time, and now they’ve taken action thanks to a new petition on Change.org.
While petitions such as these can often be a dime a dozen, this one is particularly notable given the fact that more than 20,000 signatures have already been accumulated in just six days. Whether or not the petition will gain Nintendo’s attention remains to be seen, but it’s an impressive showing, nonetheless!
Released in 2004, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door was met with near-universal acclaim. Nintendo has released a handful of Paper Mario games since, but none have reached the same level of cult status. Do you plan on signing the petition? Let us know in the comments below!
