Super Bomberman Collection launched this past February and brought with it the entirety of the beloved character’s SNES run of games. Well… most of them, as there’s a Japan-exclusive spinoff series that never made its way to the West. The Panic Bomber games are 1-4 player competitive puzzlers, and now fans outside of Japan will finally get to give the series a go starting next month.
On August 20, 2026, Super Bomberman: Panic Bomber W will be added for free to the Switch and Switch 2 versions of the collection. Konami describes Panic Bomber W as “Attack your opponents with spectacular chain reactions and Big Bombs, which appear when your meter is filled!” So, if you were looking to fire up Super Bomberman Collection, or if you’ve yet to play it, perhaps this free update next month will be the push you need.
