This morning, Nintendo hosted their latest Indie World Direct. The presentation featured a plethora of upcoming games coming to Switch over the next few months, including two titles available today: Superhot and Hotline Miami Collection! Superhot is a first-person shooter in which time only moves when the player does, allowing for more creativity in dispatching the game’s foes. Hotline Miami Collection, meanwhile, features both games in the franchise. Superhot and Hotline Miami Collection will cost $24.99, each.
Coming later this year is EarthNight from Cleaversoft. The title is an adventure in which dragons have taken over the Earth. In order to fight back, players must ride and hop from dragon to dragon as they descend towards the planet below.
The latest from developer Shin’en is The Touryst. The upcoming action-adventure game features a pixelated take on a tropical island. While the title seems like a major departure from Shin’en’s RMX games, there is an arcade-style minigame that looks a bit similar to that particular series.
Eastward from publisher Chucklefish looks like a promising adventure for RPG aficionados. Set in a post-apocalyptic setting, the title promises some fairly bizarre creatures and people. Eastward is set for release this November.
There haven’t been a whole lot of skateboarding options for Nintendo fans since the heyday of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, but Skater XL certainly looks like an intriguing new option. The title will feature real-world locations and stunts when it lands on Switch in 2020.
The final game shown during today’s Direct was Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition. The critically-acclaimed Metroidvania released back in 2015, but Switch fans will get to see what all the fuss is about September 27.
Of course, there were a number of other terrific looking games shown off as well, including Risk of Rain 2, Youropa, Dungeon Defenders: Awakened and a whole bunch more. We’ll have more on all these games in the coming months! What did you think of today’s presentation? Let us know what you’re looking forward to in the comments below!
