Mutant Mudds attracted plenty of fans and praise when it first came out by offering something for many types of gamers. It was indie. It was retro. It was a great example for both the 3DS eShop and the value of added depth to gaming. But most importantly, it was fun. When it was announced that it would be getting the HD treatment on Wii U, it was easy to get excited.
Developer Renegade Kid has now confirmed the game is ready for the masses and will be available on June 13 in the form of Mutant Mudds Deluxe on Wii U eShop. While the game loses the 3D effects of the original, it gains HD visuals and some extra length and difficulty in the form of new Ghost Levels.
“I am particularly excited about the new ghost levels we added,” said Jools Watsham, Renegade Kid’s head honcho, “which offer a new gameplay experience thanks to the mischievous ghost mudds who cannot be shot with Max’s regular water cannon!”
So look forward to Mutant Mudds Deluxe as a way to cool down from the excitement of E3 next week.
