Nintendo is going all out for the release of Animal Crossing: New Leaf for Nintendo 3DS this weekend. Fans in New York will be able to visit the Nintendo World store on June 8 from 9 a.m until 1 p.m. to find a recreation of a real-life Animal Crossing town. Visitors will “feel like they have been transported into the game” says Nintendo.
Customers will also be able to buy a copy of New Leaf— standalone or in the new 3DS XL bundle– one day early. Of course, there’s also going to be plenty of activities, like carnival games based on the series and a live DJ.
Those of us not in the New York will have to wait for a few more excruciating days to play New Leaf. It’s officially coming out in retail and in the 3DS eShop on June 9 in North America, June 14 in Europe, and June 15 in Australia.
Either way, you should probably play Animal Crossing: New Leaf. We reviewed it with high marks, after all.
