In a recent tweet, designer Masahiro Sakurai has confirmed what we’ve all long suspected: this Tuesday will be our first glimpse at the next Super Smash Bros. game. Roughly translated, the tweet reads:
“I should note. During the Nintendo Direct showing at 23:00 on June 11, a new video of Smash Bros. will be unveiled for the first time. It will be shown simultaneously around the world! Don’t miss it.”
If you weren’t already giddy for Tuesday, this should seal the deal. Stay tuned to Nintendojo where we’ll have complete coverage of Tuesday’s Nintendo Direct, in addition to plenty of commentary. In the meantime, let us know what you want to see in the new trailer in the comments below!

The Villager was pretty interesting in their use of “powers” lol. Tripping and hitting someone, the pitfall shovel, capturing with the bug net. That just played so well.
What I was ecstatic about however was Mega Man. Having him in the game finally makes this even more of an enjoyable idea.
What I can’t wait to hear about however is in what way they’ll have the WiiU and 3DS version connect. Will it be a data-transfer configuration ala Monster Hunter, or will it be a separate type of experience with a level and skill system that I heard from someone?
