Since delaying the Wii U version of Rayman Legends (which was supposed to be out by now), Ubisoft hasn’t stopped getting flak about it. Not just from fans, but the game’s very makers, too.
The company’s CEO, Yves Guillemot, has shared that the game isn’t sitting pretty. Well, it is, but Ubisoft is using it’s added time to make it even prettier.
Speaking to Kotaku, Guillemot explained that “The Wii U the team is working hard on the Wii U [version] to make sure it continues to improve, so it can become one of the best Wii U games. We hope it can be one of the top games Ubisoft creates.”
The question remains: does that make the wait less painful, or all the more?

The delay will likely push my purchase of the game to next year; the cause being a dearth of games at the moment (for all platforms, especially the Wii U) would have made the game a sure purchase (in February, March, or even April), but in September the market will be full of games to buy and little time to enjoy them.
Can’t Really Stay Mad at Them
I’m glad that they are using the extra time to improve the game, making lemonade and all that. I’m also glad that Ubisoft is releasing pretty much all of their newest multiplatform games for the Wii U such as Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed IV. I’m still hoping for Splinter Cell Blacklist though. Splinter Cell’s Spies vs Mercs was some of my favorite multiplayer, but it was never on any of Nintendo’s systems before.
